I had fluttering butterflies in my tummy as I cut through the clear water, it felt like ages till I got to the end. I was dripping wet when I finally got out I scrambled to my bike and struggled to get my things on. The blazing hot sun shone down on me as I whizzed down the long street. People in bright orange jackets guided me the right way. When I was almost finished the bike I was huffing and puffing. I couldn’t believe I still had to do three long laps of running, but I pushed on. When I got through the open gate I was soaked in sweat. When I got of my green bike I felt like I was going to collapse, my legs felt like wobbly jelly. I felt my rosy red cheeks they were as hot as boiled water. I set off for the long run, my throat was dry and sore. I tried not to give up and I was so happy when miss Pocock marked my hand for the third time. I ran to the welcoming finish, I was so glad I had got there. I tried to run to my bag for a nice cold drink but I collapsed to the ground instead. Finally I got to my bag I can’t believe I have just finished the fantastic tryathlon by my self I thought as a water fall of water from my drink bottle sloshed over my sweaty head.:)
