The Big Challenge
By Connor
I felt like a sweaty and wet boy trying to drop to the ground, but I could’t drop now because I was coming down the home straight. No wait, that was only the swim. Go on socks, yah here we go, vroom! My brothers bike is pretty fast. How far to go? I am covered in sweat. Yay no to the run, first I will just jog, 2nd lap I will go a bit faster. 3rd lap, almost there, I think I will sprint the last lap. Yes! I finished!
Tryathlon
I had fluttering butterflies in my tummy as I cut through the clear water, it felt like ages till I got to the end. I was dripping wet when I finally got out I scrambled to my bike and struggled to get my things on. The blazing hot sun shone down on me as I whizzed down the long street. People in bright orange jackets guided me the right way. When I was almost finished the bike I was huffing and puffing. I couldn’t believe I still had to do three long laps of running, but I pushed on. When I got through the open gate I was soaked in sweat. When I got of my green bike I felt like I was going to collapse, my legs felt like wobbly jelly. I felt my rosy red cheeks they were as hot as boiled water. I set off for the long run, my throat was dry and sore. I tried not to give up and I was so happy when miss Pocock marked my hand for the third time. I ran to the welcoming finish, I was so glad I had got there. I tried to run to my bag for a nice cold drink but I collapsed to the ground instead. Finally I got to my bag I can’t believe I have just finished the fantastic tryathlon by my self I thought as a water fall of water from my drink bottle sloshed over my sweaty head.:)
